FACTOR4 for Hair Loss
Suitable for hair loss and thinning
FACTOR4 is a revolutionary, scientific anti-aging treatment that is derived from your body’s own blood. This treatment involves concentrating your own blood plasma, and administering it to the face to help with anti-aging. It can also promote hair follicle health, helping to regrow hair for people experiencing hair loss or thinning.
Because Factor4 can rejuvenate the tissues surrounding the hair follicles, it can stimulate them to function normally if they have been impaired.
Improve the condition of the scalp and can slow the rate of loss
When used for hair thinning and loss, Factor4 can regrow hair, thicken strands and can improve the condition of the scalp and can slow the rate of hair loss. It can also activate the proliferative stage of hair growth. It can also trigger dormant follicles to begin functioning again. This can typically result in fuller, healthier hair.
How do we create your own FACTOR4 formulation?
To create your FACTOR4 formulation our practitioners extract a small sample of your blood (10-20 mls). In the 24 hours before your blood extraction, we suggest you consume 2 to 4 litres of water and avoid or reduce consumption of alcohol. When you are fully hydrated, more serum can be produced. Using a patented scientific technique, your blood is incubated, spun and filtered. This produces a concentrated, highly refined serum that is 4 times richer in growth factors than the original blood; hence the name ‘FACTOR4.’
What happens during your FACTOR4 treatment?
For hair, the growth factors and cytokines are then reintroduced into stubborn areas of the scalp where hair loss has occurred (typically crown and temple) via injections. Micro-needling can also be used to administer your FACTOR4 serum and/or can be combined with injections for short haired areas.
On the day of your treatment, the area to be treated will be cleansed thoroughly. To minimise any pain or discomfort, a topical anesthetic cream is then applied for 30 minutes prior to treatment.
Depending on the areas you are having treated, your FACTOR4 treatment will take between 45 to 60 minutes.
Frequently Asked Questions
For advanced hair loss where there are no follicles remaining, Factor4 would not be recommended. By maintaining your existing hair follicles you can enjoy a full head of hair for longer, delaying the possible need for hair transplant in the future.
Factor4 is not a cure for hair loss. It is for this reason that maintenance Factor 4 treatments are required every six months to maintain hair growth results.
Whether you choose this treatment for hair or skin, the procedure is fairly similar.

During the 6–9 hours of incubation, your blood is exposed to small glass beads that are etched with tiny grooves. This makes the blood cells release potent growth and repair factors, as though they are repairing trauma. Once culturing is complete, the blood is centrifuged, filtered and your valuable serum is retained. The amount of FACTOR4 is usually enough to perform 4 treatments and recommend you have your treatments 1 to 2 weeks apart. Your FACTOR4 serum can be frozen for up to 7 months.
It’s important to note that unlike some PRP’s, FACTOR4 is 100% autologous and has no additives or chemicals added. The FACTOR4 treatment serum is rich in your own anti-inflammatory protein IL-1Ra and contains a super concentration of your body’s Cytokines and rich Growth Factors, which negates any inflammatory response in the skin.
Factor4 can be used for genetic hair loss or thinning for men and women.

Factor4 and PRP are considered similar, however, there are some differences. Both begin with blood extraction and involve separating the liquid to concentrate the healing factors. However, PRP is often activated by the addition of certain liquids, such as thrombin or calcium chloride. Factor4 uses only the compounds that came from your own blood.
When you undergo PRP therapy, blood samples are usually taken each time you arrive for treatment. Although extracting blood is fairly painless, many people would prefer to limit the procedure if possible.
Finally, Factor4 can produce four times as many growth factors as PRP treatments. The additional growth factors may deliver results more effectively and quickly than PRP.
